DALLATURKA’nın ‘STEP IN…’ performansını izleyin

DJ/prodüktör DALLATURKA, İstanbul Emaar Square terasında kaydedilen performansını YouTube hesabından takipçileriyle paylaştı.

8 yaşında almaya başladığı piyano dersleriyle müzikle çok erken yaşlarda tanışan sanatçı, elektronik müzik alanında kariyer yolculuğuna LAB Academy Istanbul’da yoğun tempoyla geçen eğitim süreciyle adım attı.

Bu yıl peş peşe çıkardığı “LOVE COMES AND GOES”, “BAD FOR YOU”, “Cuz Wanna”, “Piece of Heaven”, “Break Free” ve “The Murk Shadow” projeleriyle stüdyosundaki üretkenliği yüksek bir ivme ile ortaya koyan sanatçı, techno’nun tüm varyasyonlarına ilgi duysa da progressive ve melodik elementlerle bezenmiş halinde kendi yaratıcılığını daha iyi konuşturuyor.

“Melodik techno’nun son iki yılda dünya çapında yaygınlaşmasının tesadüf olmadığını düşünüyorum; çevrelendiğimiz dünyanın tamamının bir iz düşümü olduğu için doğal olarak günümüzdeki insan psikolojisini yansıttığı taraftarıyım… Hayatımızın temposu ve karşılaştığımız zorlukları tasvir eden sert vuruşların yanında her zaman bas ve arp seslerinin arasından süzülen bir melodi vardır ama… Bazen ölçülü, bazen sert ve agresif… Melodi kısmı benim için hassasiyetimizi, insanlığımızı yansıtıyor. Bir yerlerde sakladığımız ya da belki özlediğimiz temellerimiz…” sözleriyle yaptığı ve severek dinlediği müziğe olan tutkusunu belirten sanatçı, elektronik müziğin performans yönündeki icrasına daha geniş bir çerçeveden baktığında ise şu görüşlerini Mixmag Türkiye ile paylaşıyor:

“Bugün çok boyutlu bir nöro-duyarlılık içindeyiz. İnsanın gündelik yaşamda çevrede olup bitenleri algılayışı, her zamankinden daha gelişmiş durumda ve teknolojinin evrimi, yaşam koşullarımızla uyum içinde yeteneklerimizin sınırlarını da zorluyor. Bu nedenle inanıyorum ki bizler, alışılagelmiş klasik performans ve şovların dışına çıkmalı ve performanslarımızı günümüzün tüketicisinin beklentilerine ve merakına göre şekillendirmeliyiz.”

“Bugün elektronik müziğin üzerinde eskisinden daha fazla baskı var… İnsanlar, performansımızı bir tür kaçış olarak görüyor. Sizden, onları tüm duyularını birleştirebileceğiniz bir boyuta taşımanız, dünyanızdaki elçisi olmanız, aynı zamanda ikinizin de unutamayacağı bir anı yaratacağınız partneri olmanızı bekliyor.”

STEP IN… olarak isimlendirdiği performası için ise DALLATURKA’nın düşünceleri şu şekilde: “Bu çapta ortaya koyduğum ilk resmi proje olan bu videoyu paylaşmamdaki temel amaç, bu büyülü gecenin anısını hiç kaybolmamak üzere yaşatmaktı. Son yıllardaki tüm sıkı çalışmamı, karşılaştığım meydan okumaları, endişe ve ısrarcı olma gibi duygular arasında yaşadığım hisleri özetleyen bir video. Kuralları yıkmak, alışılmışın dışında adımlar atmak kolay olmadı... Ancak ortaya çıkan şeyin hayal ettiğim gibi şekillendiğini görünce, memnuniyet ve tatmin yaratan bu projenin tadını çıkarmak kalıyor bana.”

The performance, shot at Emaar Square, showcases 15 tracks most of which are comprised of the artist's already-released tunes and his forthcoming cuts

DJ/producer DALLATURKA shared a stunning performance recorded at Istanbul Emaar Square’s terrace on his YouTube channel.

The artist, who was introduced to music at a very early age with the piano lessons he started to take at the age of 8, took his first step in his career journey in electronic music with an intense education program of DJing and music production at LAB Academy Istanbul.

This year, with the releases "LOVE COMES AND GOES", "BAD FOR YOU", "Cuz Wanna", "Piece of Heaven", "Break Free" and "The Murk Shadow" that he released consecutively, the artist demonstrated his high productivity in the studio. Although he is interested in all variations of techno, he shows his creativity better with progressive and melodic elements in realm of techno’s broad varieties.

“I think that the worldwide spread of melodic techno in the last two years isn’t a coincidence, but because it’s the translation of the whole image that we live in, it reflects naturally the human psychology in nowadays... Hard beats and kicks that reflect the tempo of our life, and the challenges... But there is always a melody, that came and goes, flows around the arps the base… Sometimes discreetly sometimes rude and aggressive, for me the melody part reflects our sensitivity, our human base that we are hiding or that we miss maybe...” says the artist when expressing his passion for the music he loves and listens to, and continues with his words from a wider perspective about performing electronic music in this era:

“Today, we are in a multidimensions of neuro-sensitivity, Human perception of our daily environment is more developed than ever, and the evolution of technology is pushing the limits of our talents in a harmony with our life conditions, So why I believe that we should step out of the classic usual gigs and shows, and adapt our performances to the nowadays public expectations and curiosity.”

“Today, electronic music has more pressure on it than before ... The public considers our performance as an escape to nowhere, expecting a moment of mirage and evasion. It is expecting you to take him to a dimension, where you can connect all his senses, and be his ambassador in your world, at the same you are his partner to create a memory that both of you can not forget.”

Revealing the positive outcome, DALLATURKA also tells Mixmag Turkey his enthusiasm for his STEP IN… show: “The objective behind this video was to save the memory of this magical night, as the first official product that I have shared, a video that summarizes all the hard work and the emotions that I had during the last years, between challenging, doubting, and persisting... It wasn’t easy to break the rules and overcome the usual steps... But it is worth the taste of comfort and satisfaction when you start seeing the final product taking shape as well as I dreamed of.”
